The Economics program provides students with a greater understanding of how consumers, workers, business firms and governments respond to their economic environments. Courses are focused on a wide range of topics and issues including: markets, international trade, taxation, monetary systems, environmental problems, and fiscal policy. Students are prepared for employment by business firms and government agencies that value analytic ability and problem solving skills. Some students majoring in economics continue with graduate work in business, law, public administration, international relations, regional planning, or environmental studies.
