The Web and Digital Media Development (WDMD) major provides a broad, comprehensive, and technologically focused program of study that includes courses in computer information systems, business, professional writing, and specific WDMD courses with electives such as game development and animation.
Technology is at the heart of this program, which emphasizes design and use of Internet-related technology. In most courses technology is the primary content, e.g., web design and digital imaging, while in a few courses, such as business writing and principles of management, computers are support tools rather than the focus of instruction.
